Signify has been ranked in the global sustainability ranking Dow Jones Sustainability World Index for the seventh consecutive year

Signify has, for the seventh consecutive year, achieved the highest scores in 50 categories in the global sustainability ranking Dow Jones Sustainability World Index, scoring 100/100 points as of December 8, 2023. The categories include emission reduction, low carbon footprint products, utilization efficiency, closed-loop resource systems, energy consumption, innovation management, cybersecurity activities, human rights compliance, mitigating the negative impact of the company’s operations on human rights, and corrective actions.

In terms of emission reduction, Signify has committed to achieving net-zero emissions by 2040. The company has already reduced its greenhouse gas emissions by 50% compared to the 2012 level. Signify also offers low carbon footprint products, such as smart LED lighting, helping customers reduce energy consumption.

Signify is well on track to achieve its climate-related sustainable development goals. In 2023, the third year of the “Brighter Lives, Better World 2025” program, the company reduced its greenhouse gas emissions by 50% compared to the 2012 level. This puts Signify on a good path to achieve net-zero emissions by 2040, twenty years ahead of the deadline set in the Paris Agreement.

In the third quarter of this year, the company announced that it had successfully achieved its 2025 goal – reaching a 32% share of revenues from the circular economy within the “Brighter Lives, Better World 2025” program. Revenues from the “brighter lives” segment also increased to 31%, indicating that the target of reaching 32% by 2025 will be met.

These actions will contribute to realizing its ambitious plan to double positive environmental and societal impact by the end of 2025.
