5-axis machine tool of aluminum structural elements for aviation

The HFP 1540 was developed for quickly machining some of the largest aluminum structural components. The universal 30,000 rpm HFP 1540 head spindle is powered by a 100 horsepower motor. It has the speed and power needed to remove large amounts of aluminum, and its 5-axis universal head is able to achieve angles that cannot be achieved with typical levels.

Large workpieces (up to 4 meters by 1.5 meters; maximum 3000 kg) can be easily accommodated thanks to the impressive X / Y / Z travels of 189 “/ 63” / 22 “(4800 mm / 1600 mm / 550 mm) and the rapid traverse of the machine 2,362 ipm provides excellent cycle times – even with a large table and long travels.
