GXO manages more than 60 logistics centres dedicated to the fashion industry in Europe. As part of the partnership with Versace, GXO will manage multi-channel logistics for all the brand’s product lines, including B2B and B2C returns handling, quality control and value-added services such as labelling and garment repair.
Alessandro Renzo, GXO’s managing director for Italy and Switzerland, emphasised the significance of the long-term partnership with Versace: “We are honoured that Versace continues to work with our team in Italy, which has allowed us to build a partnership that has lasted almost two decades.Over time, we have expanded our services to include additional sales channels and new product lines, and our commitment to technological innovation will enable us to continue to grow.”
The company handles approximately 2.4 million garments each year, overseeing logistics for all product categories, including hanging and folding garments, accessories, perfumes, jewellery, interiors and raw materials.GXO operates multi-channel order logistics, including direct customer orders, utilising two logistics centres in Bellinzago Novarese and Novara, each spanning 12,000 m².
To optimise processes, GXO has implemented a number of technological solutions, including garment sorters on hangers, RFID systems and conveyors in each warehouse.As part of its ESG commitments, the company has installed energy-efficient LED lighting and implemented a staffing model based on direct employee contracts.
