Emtech, the Polish manufacturer of trailers, low loaders and carousels, has just completed the acquisition of Andover Trailers, a British specialist trailer manufacturer with over 100 years of tradition. This strategic move demonstrates the company’s strong commitment to expanding in international markets.
For over 20 years, Emtech has been working with partners in Poland and abroad, serving sectors such as construction, heavy industry, agriculture, military, logistics, oversized transport and the timber industry.
Each year, more than 200 specialised vehicles produced at the company’s plants in Szczerców and Rogowiec, in the Lodz region, hit European roads.
Adam Duda, CEO of Emtech sp. z o.o. and Andover Trailers Ltd, explains: “We want to build our future on international markets, which is why we decided to acquire the British company Andover Trailers. It is a company with over 100 years of tradition and an excellent international reputation. Our familiarity with the UK market and the trust we have built with the owners of Andover Trailers since 2008 has allowed us to understand their business and customer needs. As a result, we will be able to significantly expand our product range and increase our market share in the UK. This is an important step in the development of our business.
“We have acquired 95% of the shares in the UK company, giving us full control of all the assets of Andover Trailers, including the brand, intellectual property and know-how,” says Adam Duda. “This transaction will allow us to integrate the best practices developed on both sides of the Channel. In line with our plans, we will continue to develop both the Emtech and Andover Trailers brands, as well as our manufacturing facilities in Poland and the UK. We believe that by integrating these areas we will broaden the product portfolio of both brands and strengthen our competitive position in the European and global markets,” he adds.
