At this year’s Hannover Messe, two German companies announced a collaboration to develop innovative solutions based on PLCnext technology.
The companies’ common goal is to meet the requirements arising from the convergence of IT and OT in industry through open automation solutions.
Festo will use the PLCnext Technology platform, an open automation control ecosystem from Phoenix Contact, in future smart devices.

The new generation of products is likely to be launched as early as the end of this year. PLCnext Technology is based on an open architecture that enables customized solutions and seamless integration of existing systems.
Festo will therefore be able to offer customized automation solutions for specific customer requirements.
