Compal, which already has an after-sales service centre in Poland, has decided to build a factory to produce components for the automotive sector.

At present, the company’s customers for automotive electronics are mainly car manufacturers in Europe. Sales of such components are forecast by analysts to grow at a double-digit rate by 2024.

Construction of the plant in Poland is expected to be completed by the end of the second quarter of next year. Production will start at the end of 2025. The new plant is expected to start generating sales in 2026.

The plant, located near Katowice, will be built in two phases. The first stage of the investment will see the construction of a 7,650 square metre facility.

On an area of 3,000 square metres, it will produce on-board computers for cars manufactured by the Stellantis Group. The second phase of the investment will involve the expansion of the plant and the implementation of advanced manufacturing processes (SMT).

Initially, around 220 people will be employed. The total investment will exceed PLN 200 million.

All of Compal’s existing plants are certified in accordance with the ISO-9001 international quality standard and the ISO-14001 and OHSAS 18000 international environmental standards.
