Modern industry operates under conditions of increasing technological demands, shrinking production cycles, and constantly changing quality and safety standards. In this environment, off-the-shelf solutions are no longer sufficient. Custom-made units, designed specifically for a particular process, application, and regulatory requirements, are becoming essential. This is where POL-EKO, a Polish manufacturer of precise thermostatic and specialized units, has been operating for years. Its solutions successfully reach the most demanding industries, including construction, automotive, military, chemical, food, electronics, and pharmaceuticals.

Experience and Flexibility – The Foundations of POL-EKO’s Effectiveness

With over 35 years of experience, POL-EKO not only delivers laboratory equipment but also designs and manufactures advanced industrial solutions tailored to the specific needs of customers from across Europe. The team of designers, engineers, and programmers works comprehensively – from the concept stage to implementation and integration with the customer’s infrastructure.

POL-EKO units combine reliability, safety, ergonomics, and precision. Designed and manufactured in Poland, supported by modern technological facilities, they ensure quality control at every stage of the process. In the era of Industry 4.0, where data, automation, and reliability are crucial – POL-EKO stands out with its ability to merge innovation with engineering practice.

Faster Concrete Curing – Thermal Chamber for Prefabrication

Concrete prefabrication is one of the key trends in modern construction. Producing ready-made elements in factory conditions speeds up project completion and improves quality. However, the standard concrete curing process is time-consuming and sensitive to weather conditions.

In response, POL-EKO developed a custom thermal chamber for curing concrete prefabricates. The unit accelerates the curing process by controlled heating of the concrete to temperatures up to 60°C. As a result, the entire production cycle is significantly shortened (by up to 50%), while users enjoy tangible benefits: time and energy savings, and reduced storage space requirements. Additionally, the process is independent of weather conditions.

POL-EKO’s thermostatic chamber features precise temperature control, monitoring, and parameter logging systems, and meets stringent safety standards – including a signaling column, anti-panic handle, and safety alarms. The chamber’s pass-through design allows for continuous logistics – loading prefabricates from one side and unloading them from the other. Investing in such a solution not only shortens production time but also improves quality control and workplace safety.

Thermostatic Chamber for Ballistic Vest Testing

The defense sector imposes exceptional requirements on manufacturers – precision in material and unit construction, transparency in the design and manufacturing process, complete technical documentation, and compliance with strict standards. For clients in this industry, POL-EKO designed a thermostatic chamber for ballistic testing according to the NIJ 0101.06 standard (National Institute of Justice).

Ballistic vest certification requires conditioning ballistic inserts and testing substrates (such as putty) at high temperatures. The chamber produced by POL-EKO enables this process at temperatures up to 70°C. By increasing the maximum shelf load to 90 kg, the chamber is designed to handle heavy ballistic boxes measuring 610 × 610 mm. Additionally, the program allows full data recording during the tests.

This technology implementation increased the client’s laboratory independence and shortened the certification process for new vest models.

Support for Automotive Parts Regeneration – Drying oven for Testing Seals

The automotive industry is rapidly implementing sustainable development and circular economy strategies. Regenerating car parts is not only environmentally friendly but also economically beneficial by saving materials. However, effective regeneration requires specific technological processes, such as conditioning new seals at extreme temperatures up to 300°C.

For an automotive company, POL-EKO created a drying oven tailored to its seal regeneration process. The unit was custom-designed for the client’s specific baskets, significantly reducing handling time and increasing production efficiency. The advanced control system, even temperature distribution, and work safety features (RFID card access control, anti-panic handle, signaling column) make this solution a prime example of modern industrial engineering.

The use of this dryer allowed the client to reduce scrap, speed up regeneration processes, and extend component life – directly impacting profitability.

FIFO Refrigerator for Solder Paste – A Solution for SMT Electronics

In Surface-Mount Technology (SMT), the quality of solder paste is crucial for the reliability of finished electronic circuits. This product is highly sensitive to temperature fluctuations and storage time. In collaboration with PB Technik, POL-EKO developed a laboratory refrigerator with a FIFO (First In, First Out) system that comprehensively solves these issues.

The integrated system enables automatic rotation of solder paste stock, eliminating the risk of using expired material. Precise temperature control and an ergonomic touchscreen interface enhance user comfort and minimize operator errors. Implementing this solution not only improves production quality but also offers significant material savings and better storage efficiency.

This solution ensures compliance with ISO and IPC quality standards, reduces production downtime, and improves ergonomics in the assembly department.

Maturation Chamber for Dry-Aging Meat

The premium products market in the meat and sausage industry requires not only excellent raw materials but also a perfectly refined production process. In response to the needs of Tomaszny Meat Processing Plant, which has been producing traditional meat products for customers in Upper Silesia since 1937, POL-EKO designed and implemented a specialized maturation chamber for “dry aged” beef.

Dry-aging meat requires precise microclimate conditions to be maintained over several weeks. During this time, the meat loses some weight while gaining a unique flavor, tenderness, and juiciness cherished by connoisseurs.

Thanks to this unit, the producer can offer high-quality “dry aged” steaks with full control over the maturation process. This solution also enables rare product consistency, improved efficiency, and safety, while maintaining the traditional production character.

Low-Temperature Freezer for Police Shield Testing

The personal protection sector requires ballistic equipment manufacturers to meet rigorous testing standards – not only for mechanical strength but also for resistance to extreme temperatures. One such requirement is testing at temperatures of –20°C and –40°C, according to VPAM BSW 2006 and NIJ (National Institute of Justice) standards.

For a police shield manufacturer, which needed to conduct such tests in its laboratory, POL-EKO designed and produced a specialized low-temperature freezer that allows conditioning large protective shields (1200 × 600 mm) in strictly controlled low-temperature conditions. Thanks to a precise control system, temperature distribution is uniform throughout the chamber, ensuring repeatability and compliance with certification procedures.

The specially designed POL-EKO freezer allowed the client to conduct independent tests and enabled preliminary conditioning of shields in-house, according to international ballistic standards (VPAM and NIJ).

Custom Engineering – POL-EKO’s Advantage

POL-EKO stands out in the market with its individual yet comprehensive approach to solving customer problems. Delivering products is just one part of the company’s business. Every custom thermostatic unit design is preceded by:

  • A detailed process analysis at the customer’s site,
  • Tailoring the control software and interface to application requirements,
  • Planning the integration with the existing infrastructure.

This approach ensures the client receives a fully customized, safe, and regulatory-compliant solution that is ready to work from day one of installation.

POL-EKO – More Than a Manufacturer, a Technological Partner

POL-EKO’s units are not just equipment – they represent strategic support for companies facing increasingly complex production processes, time pressures, and the need for cost optimization. POL-EKO proves that Polish engineering can not only compete with foreign solutions but can even surpass them due to flexibility, precision, and knowledge of specific industry requirements and expectations.

From climatic chambers and drying ovens to freezers and low-temperature freezers, to intelligent refrigerators – POL-EKO provides units that become key components in the success of modern industrial plants, analytical and research laboratories. POL-EKO is about creating innovative solutions for people, processes, and the future.
